Water-swelling rubber putty combines the good adhesion and durability of ordinary putty at low temperatures with excellent swelling characteristics. This product is synthesized from various polymer chemical materials, with higher strength than ordinary putty, making it especially suitable for waterproof projects. The product can be custom-produced according to user and design specifications, and finished products are generally wound into coils and packaged in cartons for easy transportation.
Putty-type water-swelling waterstop strips boast a high expansion rate and strong mobility and replenishment. Placed in construction joints, they exhibit a strong self-healing balance function, capable of automatically sealing new micro-cracks caused by settlement. For completed projects with seepage or leaks, these waterstop strips can be used to reseal. They are low-cost, easy to install, and offer optimal corrosion resistance. Water-Swelling Waterstop Strip Installation in Construction Joints:
1. Pre-cast Groove Method: Leave a groove in the pre-cast cement surface that can accommodate the strip, then embed the strip in the groove and continue pouring cement.
2. Bonding Method: Use a special adhesive to position the waterstop strip along the installation line.
3. Steel Nail Method: Position the strip along the installation line using steel nails; the denser the nails, the better.
4. Joints can be 45-degree bevel lapped and bonded, or 45-degree bevel lapped and then positioned with steel nails.
