Introduction to Two-Component Polysulfide Sealant

Two-component polysulfide sealant is made from liquid polysulfide rubber as the main agent, combined with reinforcing agents, toughening agents, tackifiers, thixotropic agents, and other additives to form a base paste; it is mixed with curing agents such as metal oxides to create a curing paste. When the two components are mixed, they can cure into an elastic sealing material.
Two-component polysulfide sealant is made from liquid polysulfide rubber as the main agent, with the addition of reinforcing agents, toughening agents, tackifiers, thixotropic agents, and other additives to form a base paste; it is configured into a curing paste using metal oxides and can cure into an elastic sealing material after mixing the two components.
The two-component polysulfide sealant is a type B first-class polysulfide sealant that has self-adhesive properties with concrete, made from liquid polysulfide rubber as the base material, and has the ability to stop water in joints.
Another type of polysulfide sealant is two-component. Component A is a white paste in a barrel, and Component B is a bottled liquid curing agent (to meet the pigment requirements of the construction party, the color is packaged separately, one set for one combination). When using, all the liquid from Component B is squeezed into the barrel of Component A, and pigments are added according to the construction color requirements, then quickly stirred up and down until uniform. The mixed sealant is then applied to the area to be constructed with a small spatula. It can be immersed in water and come into contact with water after 48 hours.
Precautions: 1. All of Component B's liquid must be added to Component A, otherwise it will affect the curing time and adhesion. The mixed sealant should be used up as soon as possible (suitable for 2 hours) to avoid the paste curing (cannot be constructed after curing), causing waste.
2. The installation interface must be clean and dry, otherwise it will affect the adhesive strength of the sealant.
3. Avoid water splashing or rain within 48 hours after construction.
The two-component polysulfide sealant produced by our factory has the following advantages: the color is changed to separate packaging boxes, solving the problem of finished products being a single black color after mixing in the market; it can achieve white or gray paste as required by the construction party by not adding or reducing black color; due to the modified formula of our company, it achieves characteristics of fast surface drying time, overall curing time, and strong adhesion, saving time and improving quality for the construction party.
